Laborer

Education: High school graduate of G.E.D with basic reading and writing skills.

Experience: 1 year construction related experience or satisfactorily completes training during 9 day probationary period.

Special Skills: Valid drivers license and ability to operate a 60Ib pavement breaker (jackhammer)

 

Essential skills:

  1. Remove asphalt from around utilities and drains with the use of a pavement breaker.
  2. Guide equipment operators with hand signals and assist with the use of a shovel/broom.
  3. Make sure roadway is cleaned of debris so road can be reopened to traffic.
  4. Assist with chaining and unchaining of equipment for mobilizations.
  5. Traveling extensively within 200 mile radius of York, PA with ability to provide own transportation to project sites within such work area.
  6. Flexibility in hours he/she can work.
  7. When not performing cleanup duties add additional support to crew as directed by foreman.

Physical Requirements of the Essential Fuctions:

  1. Must be able to lift up 60Ibs from ground level to waist level and 30Ibs to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift.
  2. Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.
  3. Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
  4. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl.
  5. Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
  6. Must be able to work on uneven surfaces.
  7. Must be able to perform job with constant awareness of co-workers, moving equipment, and live traffic.

Equipment Operator

Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred with basic reading and writing skills.

Experience: Prefer two (2) year construction related experience or satisfactory completes operator on job training.

Special skills: Mechanical Aptitude 

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Operates equipment using hand controls.
  2. Controls with positioning of equipment and maneuvers the machine over drain pipes, around manholes, and inlets with constant awareness of surroundings. 
  3. Assists with all preventative maintenance and repairs. 
  4. Traveling extensively within 200 mile radius of York, PA with ability to provide own transportation to project sites within such work area. 
  5. Flexibility in hours he/she can work.

 

Physical Requirements of Essential Functions:

  1. Must be able to lift up to 60Ibs from ground level to waist level and 30Ibs to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift.

Truck Driver

Education: high school graduate or G.E.D preferred with basic reading and writing skills.

Experience: prefer 1 years’ experience as truck driver driving single axle, dual axle, tankers, and lowboys.

Special Skills: Mechanical Aptitude

Essential Functions

  1. Class A or B “CDL” with Tank Endorsement required in order to drive single and/or dual (tandem) axle water truck, tankers, and lowboys with equipment to and/or on project sites within 200-mile radius of York, PA. 
  2. Must perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks along with daily maintenance (fluid levels, lights, etc.). 
  3. Learning proper techniques for loading, unloading, and chaining down of equipment.
  4. Ability to load, haul, and offload water with the constant awareness of liquid surge and spills.
  5. Ability to load, haul, and offload different products using tanker with constant awareness of the potential hazards. Should have a copy of the MSDS sheets with them.
  6. Must be capable of working independently.
  7. Complete drivers logs and other paperwork/record keeping as required
  8. Traveling extensively within 200 mile radius of York, PA with the ability to provide own transportation to project sites within such work area. 
  9. Flexibility in hours he/she can work.
  10. When not performing truck driver duties add an additional support crew as directed by foreman.

Physical Requirements of the Essential Functions

  1. Must be able to lift up to 60Ibs from ground level to waist level and 30Ibs to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift.
  2. When driving a truck, almost consistent sitting is required.
  3. When connecting hoses and performing other operations will walk and/or stand frequently. 
  4. Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
  5. Must be able to climb on top of tanks to open and close lids.
  6. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl.
  7. Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather.
  8. Position requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing.
  9. Must be able to work and walk uneven surfaces.
  10. Must be able to maneuver trucks around in confined lane closures with constant awareness of co-workers, equipment, and live traffic.
